Buboy Raquitico

Buboy is a company member of Daloy Dance Company, having performed and toured locally and internationally its full-length productions such as Ea Torrado’s ‘Canton at Himalaya’, ‘Unearthing’, and ‘Dysmorphilia’ to name a few. He is also the head of Daloy’s community outreach arm, ‘Ugnayan’. Buboy has received recognition from his works as a choreographer and performer – Grand Winner, 2018 WifiBody.Ph Choreographers’ Competition for his piece, ‘Transacting Comfort’; Korea Dance Association Award, 2015 Korea International Modern Dance Competition (Senior Male category), and Champion, 2017 PASUC National Culture and Arts Festival for his piece ‘Karera,’ performed by PUP Maharlika Dance Artists. His movement practice has been greatly influenced by his teachers, Ea Torrado (contemporary dance and improvisation), Dona Tumacder-Esteban (somatics) and Arthur Bazin (contact improvisation). He is also an alumnus of UP Diliman’s Community Development program and the UP Street Dance Club.

Joemarie Cruz

Jomari Cruz is originally a Dance Sports athlete. He trained under World of DanceSports syllabus, both Modern Ballroom Standard and Latin American Standard. Won 3rd place in 1st Gov. Rafael Nantes Cup PPDSA-AATD International, National Open Category. He then continued to dance and learned Jazz, Ballet, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Folk and Ethnic Dances during his college years under the resident cultural group of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Maharlika Dance Artists and Contemporary Dimension with the performing arts directress and trainer Professor Elaine Carrie Almirante-Andres that he then eventually choreographed for the group. He is currently a senior member of Daloy Dance Company, trained by Ea Torrado. He has performed with company’s productions and collaborations such as Banyuhay, DNC.MNL Festival’s entry ‘Unearthing’, Canton, Himalaya, Obsession and Glitters. He is now the head of the company’s program “Sayaw Galaw” that is co-created by Wider and Wider Circles by Dona Tumacder-Esteban. He has joined Daloy Dance Co’s US Tour in 2016, performing the company’s repertoire, ‘Himalaya’ and ‘Canton’.

Arcelyn Lualhati

Arcelyn is originally a folkdancer under Ani Ng Haring Sining dance troupe. She was trained by professional MAPEH teachers major in dance, Mrs. Rufina Dulfo, Mr. Jonathan Galope, and Mr. Mark Troy Reyes. The Chairman of the MAPEH department, adviser of the dance troupe, and trainer/ choreographer of the group, respectively. She then continued to dance and learn various genres such as folkdance, indigenous dance, modern jazz, Hip hop and contemporary dance under Maharlika dance artists, the resident student dance group in Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She also became one of the delegates for PASUC National Culture and Arts festival in Contemporary dance category they won Silver Medal last 2016 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and won Gold Medal last year, 2017, performing the choreography of Buboy Raquitico, “Karera”, in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental competing with all other regions nationwide.

She is currently a member of Daloy Dance Company where she explores various movement practices of Artistic Director. Ea Torrado. She has performed with company’s productions and collaboration such as ‘Tari’ Fringe Mnl in collaboration with HATAW, ‘Glitters’, ‘Encounters’, and ‘Obsession’.

Kennard Insigne

Kennard Allen Insigne has been with Daloy Dance Company since 2016, embodying the movement practice of Ea Torrado. Originally from the province of Bulacan, began his training in High School graduating in a Special Program in the Arts curriculum as dance major for four years (2011-2015) under the comprehensive training of dance specialists: Ms. Darra De Mesa for Dance Sport, Contemporary Dance and Folk Dance; Mrs. Bernadette Rosaroso and Mrs. Jennifer Ponce for Folk Dance. He qualified and was admitted as an entrance artist-scholar in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines making his way to be part and currently a senior member and chairman of the PUP Maharlika Dance Artists, the resident student dance group of PUP. He is one of the delegates for PASUC Culture and Arts Festival in Contemporary Dance category for the past two years wherein they represent NCR and won Silver Medal last 2016 at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and won Gold Medal last year, 2017, performing the choreography of Buboy Raquitico, “Karera”, at Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental competing with all other regions nationwide. He also danced with The PARC Foundation and currently engaging with various professional collaborations.

Jaime Paraiso

Jamie Paraiso is well versed in Modern, Hiphop, Philippine Folk Dance, Modern Jazz and Contemporary Dance. She danced with PUP Maharlika Dance Artists where she was awarded, ‘ Best Dancer’ and ‘Best in Contemporary Dance’. She has performed for CCP’s Pasinaya, Fringe Manila Festival and Solidarity in Performance Art Festival. She was part of Daloy Dance Comany’s ‘Encounters’ at University of the Philippines Diliman, Lawas Art Project. She has also been a part of Sayaw Galaw, Modern Movement Workshops of Daloy where she continues to harness her knowledge on somatics, improvisation and dance theatre.

Jaime Montserrat

Jaime started performing at the age of 7. She joined various national competitions for different types of dances—- hiphop, folk dance, cheerdance, contemporary and jazz. A versatile and dyanmic performer, she was often invited by the TV Program, Unang Hirit to perform nationally as part of San Isidro National High School Performing Arts . She was a 3-time awardee of “Mananayaw ng Taon”, “Best Dancer” and “Best in Jazz” of PUP Maharlika Dance Artists. She is currently performing for Daloy Dance Company where she explores various movement practices in different sites, stages, galleries and theatres such as UP Vargas Museum, Cultural Center of the Philippines to name a few. She has performed for CCP’s Pasinaya, Fringe Manila Festival and Solidarity in Performance Art Festival.

Julienne Pearl Depatillo

Julienne started dancing ballet at the age of 4 under the tutelage of Ianne Damian and Melanie Motus at IDMM Ballet School and is now a senior dancer and part-time teacher in the school. Ms. Damian and Ms. Motus’s developmentally appropriate mentoring enabled Julienne to achieve Level 5 accreditation in the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet syllabus. She also participated in workshops conducted by ACB teachers Christine Walsh and Valmai Roberts. In 2014 Julienne was a half-scholar at CCP Dance School’s summer dance workshop,where she attended classes with Cyril Aran Fallar, Gina Katigbak-Garcia, Katherine Trofeo, Victor Ursabia, and Ramon Victoria. To expand her knowledge of other dance forms such as jazz, hiphop, and ballroom, she took classes at Douglas Nierras’ Powerdance also in 2014, under the tutelage of Danny Marshall, Everly Gragasin, Erick Juanerio, Christaliza Sawada, and Froilan Dabalus. She became a company scholar until May 2015, when she left the company to focus on her studies. After graduating cum laude with a BA English Studies degree from UP Diliman, she has been exploring contemporary dance, improvisation, and dance theater as a scholar of Daloy Dance Company.

Joy Christian De Asis-Adorable

Before being part of Daloy Dance Company, Joy was a member of Next Moves Dance Company of Liceo de Cagayan University at Cagayan De Oro City and handled and trained By Mr. Roger Odron, one of the famous choreographers in Northern Mindanao. He is one of the delegates for PASUC Culture and Arts Festival in Contemporary Dance category for the past two years wherein they represent NCR and won Silver Medal last 2016 at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and won Gold Medal last year, 2017, at Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental competing with all other regions nationwide. Joy was part of Daloy Dance Comany’s ‘Encounters’ at University of the Philippines Diliman, Lawas Art Project. With Daloy he is harnessing his skills in contemporary dance, somatics, improvisation and dance theatre through the touring of workshops and shows of Ea Torrado and Daloy Dance Company.

Jan Lloyd Brent Celecio

Jan Lloyd Celecio is a new member of Daloy Dance Company. He performs a wide array of dance styles— Philippine Folkdance, Modern Jazz, Hiphop, Ballet and Contemporary dance. The companies he worked for in the past are The PARC Foundation and Excellerate Dance Company. As part of Daloy Dance Company he continues to deepen and enrich his knowledge of Contemporary Dance, while he continues to work in various collaborative and freelance projects in and around Manila both as a dance and choreographer. He is also a senior member and Assistant Chairman of PUP Maharlika Dance Artists, the resident student dance group of Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Before he became a member of Maharlika he was a cheerleader and a jazz dancer.

Jovin Lazaro

Jovin started formal training in Dance Sport at 6 years old. He later on continued extensive training in folk dance, indigenous dance , and hip hop in High School as Special Program In the Arts student. He performed with Douglas Nierras Power Dance. He won 2nd Place at PANAAD sa Negros Dance Sport Competition. He is currently the Dance Captain of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Dancesport Team. He continues to hone his skills and knowlegese about the human body as he finished his Bachelor in Physical Education. He is one of the delegates for PASUC Culture and Arts Festival in Contemporary Dance category for the past two years wherein they represent NCR and won Silver Medal last 2016 at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and won Gold Medal last year, 2017, performing the choreography of Buboy Raquitico, “Karera”, at Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental competing with all other regions nationwide. Jovin was part of Daloy Dance Comany’s ‘Encounters’ at University of the Philippines Diliman, Lawas Art Project. With Daloy he is harnessing his skills in contemporary dance, somatics, improvisation and dance theatre through the touring of workshops and shows of Ea Torrado and Daloy Dance Company.
